Short ski breaks in the Portes du Soleil

Short ski breaks in the Portes du Soleil

Having a few days skiing with your friends is easier than you think.

With the ski season fast approaching now is the time to start planning a few days on the slopes, zooming down the blues, enjoying the views, and sharing a fondue friends.

Did you know it is possible to ski 2 full days and 2 half days with only 3 nights away from home.

At Nine & Tenne we are very experienced at helping you get the most from a short stay in the Portes du Soleil.  We have an exclusive collection of luxury chalets and over 15 years experience running ski weekends in Chatel.  Here are a few tips to help you make the most from a ski weekend.

  1. Choose a resort with a short transfer time from Geneva – Chatel is only 90 minutes!

  1. Book catered chalet accommodation as you do not want to spend your time in the local supermarket, cooking and washing up.

  1. To get the best prices and quite slopes the best time of year for a short ski trip is anytime in January or Mid-March.

  1. Arrange a private transfer – there is a risk of delays with a shared transfer.

  1. Pre-book your lift pass and ski hire so it is ready for your arrival at the chalet. There is nothing more frustrating than queuing when you are desperate to ski.

  1. Holiday with friends who are a similar ski level as you will want to get the wind in your hair not teach snow-plough.

  1. Get local advice on the best mountain restaurants and places to ski.

  1. Let your hair down and have fun!
